General overview of the databases

The file gathers over 300 tables from national statistical surveys and public administrative registries, with a focus on the Italian agro-food, environmental and territorial system. The databases describe in detail the structure and evolution of the agricultural sector, the distribution of production activities, the characteristics of farms and cultivations, as well as environmental impacts and phenomena linked to sustainability.

1. Agricoltura e struttura produttiva

Questa sezione comprende numerosi dataset relativi alla struttura delle imprese agricole e alla Superficie Agricola Utilizzata (SAU). Le informazioni includono: numero di imprese agricole per regione, ripartizione geografica e classe di superficie; distribuzione delle aziende per forma giuridica e attività economica (ATECO 2007); dati sulla manodopera agricola e sulle variazioni temporali. Questi dati consentono di analizzare la struttura economico-produttiva del settore agricolo italiano.

2. Coltivazioni e uso del suolo

I dataset sulle coltivazioni offrono una visione ampia delle superfici coltivate e dei tipi di coltura, con informazioni su colture erbacee, legnose e permanenti, superfici irrigue, uso dei suoli agricoli e produzioni annuali. Permettono analisi agronomiche e ambientali utili per la pianificazione sostenibile del territorio.

3. Zootecnia e allevamenti

I dati sulla zootecnia includono consistenze degli allevamenti per specie, sesso, età e tipo di allevamento, distribuzioni territoriali e serie storiche dal 2002 al 2024, oltre a informazioni su produzione e sostenibilità.

4. Ambiente ed emissioni

Le tabelle ambientali contengono dati sulle emissioni di CO₂, CH₄ e N₂O per regione e anno, convertite in CO₂ equivalenti (GWP-100, IPCC AR4), con serie storiche dal 1990 al 2021 e indicatori energetici e di sostenibilità ambientale.

5. Energia, risorse e sostenibilità

Questa sezione raccoglie dati su produzione e consumo energetico in agricoltura, efficienza, uso di biomasse e risorse idriche, con indicatori su evapotraspirazione, irrigazione e bilanci energetici.

6. Economia, commercio e valore della produzione

Le tabelle economiche analizzano il valore della produzione agricola, le quantità prodotte, i prezzi, le variazioni annuali, gli indici di mercato e i partner commerciali, fornendo una base per analisi di competitività e redditività.

7. Sintesi generale

L’insieme dei database fornisce un quadro completo e multidimensionale del sistema agro-ambientale italiano, integrando dimensioni economiche, territoriali, produttive e ambientali. I dati supportano analisi sulla sostenibilità, produttività e tracciabilità delle filiere agroalimentari.
